If you have never applied to the AFG, they make it pretty simple.  Mostly it is filling in the blanks with the appropriate information.  BUT the one area that “throws” many departments AND where many departments get “thrown out” are the narrative sections.

These are the descriptive sections where you need to inform the reviewers of your department, community, needs and how your requested funds will help you provide better services for those you protect.

Our company works with you on these critical portions of your application.  The reviewers, mostly fire/EMS folks themselves, only know about your situation from what you tell them.

Our job at Flagler Emergency Services is to gather a lot of information about the many facets of your operations and community “risk factors”.

We then develop drafts of the required Narrative sections for your consideration.  At that point we work with your input to refine them so that they honestly, accurately and passionately portray your, quite often “dire” situation.  We need to convince FEMA that the requested funds will help you provide the critical services your citizens and community not only deserves, but very much needs.

Please download a copy of our “FEMA GRANT SERVICE AGREEMENT” below for the structure of our service and please contact us with ANY questions.

We very much look forward to working with you.
